Yup, it's Holiday Party time.

With that in mind, I put together this little number to put everyone in the spirit. So grab a glass of bubbly and see what you think!

Wish List: Vases

Here at our apartment we've gotten into the habit of having fresh flowers in our living room and... foyer? welcome nook? front hall? I don't know what it's called, but its the first thing you see when you get home and I like it. Anywho, since we've had flowers around a lot, it's got me thinking about vases. So here are some vases i've had my eye on.

Enjoy!

Inspiration: Gold

I'm a bit of a magpie.
I love all things that sparkle.

That in mind, I started to look around me and I noticed how happy and warm and... fall like gold things make me feel. So in the spirit of the season, I put together some of my favorite gold images to keep me inspired all fall long and into winter. Hope this warms you up!

My Favorite Things: Bracelets

I'm one of those people who buys a pair of ballet flats and wears them until they literally fall apart.

The same goes for my bracelets. I find bracelets I like for every day and I just never take them off.

Like these ones:

I love these. I literally never take them off. I got each of them with people I love, and they remind me of them. They also help me remember to look for the color and the brightness in life. As cheesy as that sounds, I need that reminder sometimes.

I got the two leather ones with my friend KZacher. She's my big sis in my sorority and a huge part of my college experience and me being who I am. They remind me of the ties i made in college and how true friendship can be.

The burgundy and red ones I got with my cousin in Paris. She's one of the most important people I know, and I have the good luck to share blood with her. The colors stand for hope and strength, two things I needed and didn't have at the time I got them. I think of her and how important she is to me and how much I admire her every time I glance at my wrist.

I love the colors and how these pieces stack, but for me jewelry has a more important place. The pieces I hold on to and wear are the ones that resonate with me and have a story.

But the ones I truly love, like these ones, are tied to people I love.

Wish List: Bedroom

inspiration
I'm not bringing any of my furniture with me when I move. See, it's all Ikea, so by the time I disassemble it, pay to ship it and put it back together, I might as well leave it all here and sell it to friends. Which I've done. This leaves me with a blank slate. And oh, oh so many options. A dangerous combination.

See, since we now have an apartment, another blank slate, I have of course been pouring over countless decorating blogs, magazines and websites in search of inspiration. Well, I've found more than my fair share of ideas. Indeed, flooded by paint chips and throw pillows, I eat, breath and dream in apartment design. Not that I have the money to buy the furniture or wallpapers I want. Or can paint the walls. Or go back in time and steal some chandeliers  from Versailles. Ok, I couldn't do that one anyways, but still.

So in an effort to rein it in a bit [laugh track], I've made a list of my essentials for when I get to Wisconsin. The essentials are a bed, storage, and light. I looked back though my pinterest boards and found some great inspiration. I then ventures onto the great wide internet and searched for hidden goodies in my price range. Here's what I found:

ikea bed frames, both under $200. WIN.
i'd probably paint the mirror frame. and i love the glass cupboard  for shoes and accessories
pretty sheets, glory lamps and a little bit of sparkle
I'll keep you guys posted on how everything turns out!

Makin' It Happen: Knob Hooks

I love hooks. I like to be able to hang things up and see my options.
I also love doorknobs and dresser pulls. A gander on the anthropology home website is one of my favorite ways to spend time. Looking at all these glittering, delicate, beautiful little gems gave me an idea: turn the knobs into hooks. I can hang my apron, coat, outfits for the day, and handbags on them when I get to my new place! So let's make this happen:
